New Purse: Marc Jacobs & Uni Update

I've had the same purse for a while now and fancied a little change. I guess its retail therapy too because I'm having a pretty bad time right now. I selected the Recruit Open Face Wallet by Marc Jacobs, a lot smaller than my previous purse but its just what I need and completely lightweight.

I'm going back to uni and soon and this definitely wont be weighing my bag down when walking around campus. I can't believe freshers week is a month away and I'll be starting my second year so soon. This time last year I didn't even know the five girls I've just spent a week on holiday with, crazy. Its surreal how much your life can change in one year, looking back on first year (or should I say half a year) I guess I've learnt a few things.

I keep trying to find time to blog, or topics to talk about but the difference between blog content these days between now and when I started is massively different. I'm definitely less interested in the subjects I used to write about, so I'm just going to stick to writing about what I love now.

What's your most recent purchase?

Summer Haul; Adidas, ASOS, Shopbop etc...

Hello! I've bought a few new things for summer recently and I wanted to post them on my blog as a little haul. I'm actually in love with my adidas Originals Stan Smith Super Colour Shock Mint Trainers.  I purchased these on ASOS in a UK size 6 and they fit perfectly - definitely true to size. These are honestly the comfiest trainers I own, and also completely different to anything I own (as pretty much everything I have is black or neutral). I really love the colour, even though some of my friends think they're just ridiculous and wouldn't be seen dead with me in them. These retail at £65.00, but ASOS do have 10% student discount so I got them for £58.50 with free delivery.

The BEST Fake Tan Brand | Bondi Sands

Hello! Today I'm talking about Bondi Sands - the best fake tan brand I have used, hands down. I've been using the Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Light/Medium and the Bondi Sands Everyday Gradual Tanning Milk for a couple of months now, and I haven't switched them out for anything else. I first heard about the brand from Shani Grimmond on YouTube (her skin always looks amazing), and when I saw they were in Superdrug I couldn't not try - especially as I'm always looking for a tan that isn't orange.

I'm usually the type to go orange when using any kind of fake tan due to how pale I naturally am, but these products are definitely more on the bronzing side. I'd say the Self Tanning Foam has much more of a grey undertone than orange, which is perfect because it looks so much more natural (even my mum agrees, and she can't stand fake tan). I love how natural it is because its perfect for work - I'd never risk being bright orange there.

Accessorising with The Michael Kors Cindy Dome Cross Body Bag

Hello! I thought I'd share my recent favourite bag which I've been using with pretty much every outfit I've been wearing recently. I purchased the Michael Kors Cindy Dome Cross Body Bag in Optic White after falling in love with it on the website, and its even prettier in person. I don't usually do white, because of how easily it can get dirt on (probably my makeup), but for occasions this bag is definitely the one.

I'm so pleased I took a risk with this bag and went for it because the white and gold go so well with a pair of black trousers/jeans, a blouse and heeled boots (my typical outfit) - and I've had so many compliments when wearing the bag.

The Best Translucent Powder EVER | Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder & Fluid Corrective Foundation 16HR

Hello! I wanted to share my current all time favourite powder at the moment with you, because for the first time in a long time I've stuck with a powder based product which actually works for me! As you know, I'm not really into powers - I hate any base that looks even relatively matte. Its a struggle to get the balance between having a 'dewy' finish and keeping your makeup on all day/night but I've been using the Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder for just over a month now and its made a huge difference.

I was kindly gifted both the Setting Powder and Fluid Corrective Foundation last month by the team at Vichy Dermablend, and while usually I get a review up straight away I really wanted to trial the products properly because I gave my opinions! I've actually only been using the powder, while my mum has been wearing the foundation as its too light for me - but don't worry she's made a few comments that I'll be sharing a little further on in the post.

Summer Holiday & Travel Wishlist!

Holiday/Travel Wishlist

Hello, hello! I wanted to share a few things that are on my holiday and travel wish list this summer. I'm soooo excited to be going on a girls holiday this year, this time last year I wouldn't have expected to have met such amazing best friends let alone be looking forward to a week away in the sun with them - aah. I've started my holiday shopping but I've only purchased a few things so far, so here's a few more on my wish list...

Where I've Been...

Hello hello! I wanted to write a quick post explaining why I have posted in a month, aah. I've massively been off the blogging radar the past couple of weeks and its partly because I've been so busy but also because I've had the typical 'writer's block'.

I started a new job which has kept me really busy since finishing uni for summer, and also I still had a bit of uni work due in which meant I had to put that first. It's kind of difficult changing from such a different lifestyle to moving back home for five months, so I've been getting used to being back at home and kind of 'sorting my life out' aha.

I'm going to be back onto blogging as much as I can and as soon as I work out a schedule things will go back to the way they were before I took an unplanned month off.

14 Items I'm Currently Lusting After...

Currently lusting after 2...

Aaah again, another wish list. I hadn't put together any in a long time and now two come along in the space of one month. I think its because I know summer is just round the corner and I can finally start earning again (which means saving, erm, spending). My style changes over time, and if you read back to my first every blog post (which was a wish list funnily enough) you'll see that I'm into completely different tastes now than I was back then. are 14 items that are most definitely going to break my bank this summer.

The Weight Loss Starter Kit by Nutribuddy | Review and Progress Update

Hello! A while a go I was kindly gifted the 'Weight Loss Starter Kit' by Nutribuddy, which I was over the moon about. I mentioned Nutribuddy's products in a post a few weeks about about how I stay healthy at university (you can read this here), and as promised I now want to tell you about the results after using the products for a while now. I have been going to the gym alongside using these products, and trying to eat as healthy as I can (mind you, I've had about three packs of super noodles in the past week). I'm not going to lie, the past week I've eaten absolute rubbish and balance in my diet has gone completely out the window. However, it is my second to last week at university so I'm making the most of the 'cheat meals' and snacks before I go home next week - but, I am still working out! Anyway, let's talk about the products...

#MyCalvins | Mini Shopbop Haul

Hello! So I have such an exciting little haul for you today from Shopbop. I've wanted a new Calvin Klein set for a while now and I'm so pleased I'm the proud new owner of this pretty grey bralette (the Modern Cotton Bralette), and the Carousel Thong 3 Pack by Calvin Klein. I already owned the bralette in white (which always always gets covered in fake tan whenever I sleep in it - thumbs down), but I really want to own the whole collection.

I already knew my sizing in the bralette's so I selected the size small, I'm glad that it is actually a little bit bigger though (I got my white one a while ago) as the one I already owned was ever so slightly on the small side.

I don't think I've ever mentioned underwear on my blog before, as I suppose its a little bit personal but hey ho these are gorgeous pieces so I really wanted to share them with you - especially as they're so inexpensive compared to other popular underwear brands such as Victoria's Secret.

What's in my Clutch | What I take on a Night Out

Hello! I thought I'd write a post about what I take with me on a typical night. I don't go out too much, I wouldn't say I'm the biggest partier (but thats probably because I take so many naps). I try not to take too much on nights out with me but I always seem to end up carrying everyone else's stuff, which I then spend the whole night constantly checking to see if I've lost anything. Before getting this new clutch I actually only had one (it seems to always be the one thing I forget to purchase), my black one which doesn't have a zip hence why I always check to see if something has fallen out. I'm in love with this Michael Kors Bedford Large Zip Clutch from Shopbopwhich is baby pink making it perfectly appropriate for summer. It also has card slots inside so I'm definitely not going to lose my cards on a night out, along with one large compartment which I can keep all my beauty 'essentials' together in one place.

Gym & Workout Clothing Wish List | April 2016

Gym/Workout Wishlist!

I can't remember the last time I did a wish list post but I have realllly missed doing them! I've tried to stop myself lusting over things I can't afford since going to university, but with the summer coming up (which means hopefully I wont be broke) I wanted to put together a little gym wish list on my blog.

I'm not sponsored by Nike (sadly ha) despite the fact they're clearly featured numerous times in my list, in fact I've only added things from PINK by Victoria's Secret and Nike as their branding is my absolute favourite when it comes to sports wear.

I've recently started going to the gym a lot and really enjoying it, it makes me feel so much better and a whole lot less sluggish and sleepy all the time. I've always loved gym wear depsite not going to the gym as much as I've been going recently, its super comfortable and I'd so much rather wear a sports bra around the house than a normal bra - I've found bras so uncomfortable recently.

New in From the Drugstore | Three Makeup Revolution Eyeliners

Hello, hello, hello! I'm going to show you some new products from Makeup Revolution today. I really apologise for how out of focus the photo is, myself and my friend who took the photos found it really difficult to focus the shiny packaging with natural daylight. Anyway, that's not going to stop me from showing you my mini Makeup Revolution haul.

I was delighted to see three eye products in my package kindly sent to me by Makeup Revolution as I've never tried any of their liquid based liners before and I don't think you can ever have too many especially as I wear it everyday and I don't want to be running low (student problems).

A Lovely Easter Weekend

Hey guys! I don't usually write about what I've done in a weekend but seen as though its just been the Easter weekend I thought I'd write a little post about what I got up to. In my mind I didn't have much planned but it turned out I was actually really busy over the weekend and spent a lot of time with my family and old friends which was so lovely.

You can see my family are a little crazy from the above photo, my dad is modelling the Duck Costume by Smiffys who kindly sent this through for us to have a little bit of extra fun as a family this Easter. It came in a size Medium which was perfect because it managed to fit all of us (pretty much, it was a little big on myself because I'm so small). Its actually so comfortable as well which is a bonus because now I have a new addition to my onesie collection. I know this will definitely come in useful over the years to come, and perhaps even when I have my own children if it gets kept in good condition (that's a LONG way a way), I love being creative around seasonal events so this was perfect.
